I'm Baaaaaack

so yeah....I have kind of been too busy to post...I now have 2 jobs and have a bunch of other blogs to update...

I am trying to keep my meals under 400 calories each....breakfast today was over but my dinner tonight is just over 200....So I will make up for it!

I am also increasing my water intake and adding a sugarfree powder to it so that I don't get bored. I am also taking my vitamins....

  1. You should try the Paleo Diet. I was on it for a few months and lost 20 pounds. The first three days I lost 9!! You can eat as much as you want! The only thing is that you can only eat meat, fruits and veggies. No grains, do dairy, no sugar. It sounds hard to do but it really isn't. When I was craving sweets (which I do all.the.time) I just ate some fruit and I was fine. Look it up. http://thepaleodiet.com/

  3. I'm one of your fellow Pebblers--Lynne--and I just want to warn you to be careful that you aren't eating too little. My husband is a big guy, and if he doesn't eat enough, he gets crabby! haha But seriously, you don't need any particular diet unless a doctor has told you that you do. A way to tell how many calories to eat would be to take your current weight and multiply it by 11. That would be the amount of calories you need to maintain your current weight. If you're 290 still, that'd be around 3200 calories. You could probably, easily, cut 1000 calories a day and see about a 2 pound weightloss per week. When I told my husband, he thought I was full of it, but every other equation he found resulted in nearly the same calorie amounts. We even had one cheat day, and he lost about 30 pounds in a couple months--you guys can lose it fast! Counting calories does require measuring, weighing, and writing everything down, but please don't believe anyone who tells you that you should eat 1600 calories a day or something silly like that. You could cut 500 a day for a pound a week. Keep in mind, too, that mindless, excessive eating is also a mental thing. Most of us don't get to be overweight because we just really love food. Usually, we are stuffing ourselves past the point of being full and eating when we aren't really hungry. I don't know if compulsive eating is as much of an issue for men as it is for women. Just stay away from anything "fad-ish" unless it is something you think you can live with for the rest of your life--otherwise, you'll be gaining it back! Best of luck!
